I’ve been using Nick and his team at Automotive Performance & Chassis for years now and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cars. They’ve aligned both my BMW and, in the past, my Miata (going back soon after my DIY suspension overhaul), and each time they’ve taken the time to understand exactly what I wanted and recommended the setup that best fit my driving needs. They got my BMW G20 absolutely dialed in, and it handles like a dream now. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and honest advice are second to none. Honestly…if you’re looking for a shop that truly knows suspension, alignments, and performance setups, I highly recommend Automotive Performance and Chassis.

I am a DIY guy, and I went to Automotive Performance & Chassis after failing to assemble a pair of front struts from scratch using Bilstein 5100 shocks, Moog springs, and various supporting parts. The store-bought spring compressors I used kept breaking, so I had no choice but to seek professional help. After calling dozens of shops in the Raleigh, Rocky Mount, and Greenville areas with no luck, Automotive Performance & Chassis came through and expertly assembled the struts in just 30 minutes. My goal was to build a high-performance setup for my Ford F-150 while keeping the factory ride height—something most shops refused to help with. I can't believe I've never left a review here. I've had Nick perform alignments on all of my performance cars and my Bronco ever since I moved to NC. His attention to detail and willingness to listen to my needs are fantastic. He's super friendly and good at what he does. I refer all of my friends to him for their alignments. Mark in the front is also a great guy and helpful in getting me in to suit my schedule as best as possible. I can't speak to the work on the other side of the garage, as I've only had alignments done here, but I've heard they are top notch as well. Since they moved I am now almost an hour away and I'll continue to bring my cars for alignments. Thanks guys!

TL:DR, Trust these guys for your performance car’s non-track (and probably track) needs! First, my car is not a daily driver. It spends a lot of time garaged at my home, is used around town, and is only taken on longer trips a couple of times a year. In November, I had to make a day trip to Roanoke, Virginia, and on the way home, the front end felt very stiff. A 2008 performance car with <100k mi on it, and having never had suspension work, I wondered if there was a problem that MB of Durham had missed, so I called Mark @ Automotive Performance & Chassis. There was no great urgency, and Mark offered me an appointment that was convenient for me. Of course, I called and rescheduled once. Mark was gracious and again accommodated my scheduling needs. Second, I took the car to them on the appointed day, and Nick spent time looking it over, taking it for a good drive, and putting it up on a lift. Mark and Nick informed me that the suspension looked pretty good and that my front tires (thank you Pandemic) were 6 years old! Mark recommended a nice set of Continentals and worked up a quote. I went home and did some research, and everything he said was echoed by his supplier (Tire Rack)
